28. Snooker
Cross Guns Snooker Club is the oldest snooker club in Ireland and was established way back in 1958. Today the club is still a vibrant hotspot for lovers of the game of snooker and the club has endured through the game’s many ups and downs from the boom years of the 1970’s and 80’s to the cull of clubs in the city throughout the 1990’s. Cross Guns is a family run club that has produced a number of national champions at various age levels. David Caulfield went along to the club to talk to owner Fin Ruane about the club and the sport.
