16. Darts
Darts is a sport that’s making a dramatic comeback. The heyday of the sport was definitely in the 70’s and 80’s players like Jockey Wilson and Eric Bristow were household names. But dart boards are starting to re-appear in pubs all over Dublin and tickets to the Premier League Darts at the 02 and the Irish Open at Citywest are like gold dust.
Our reporter Edd Kealy went along to the his local the Baldoyle House to meet some the lads who play for the team and to try and find out why darts is on the up. Edd talked to club captain Mick Ennis as well as some of the experienced and not so experienced darts players including Fred and Ray Corr and Frank Bennett.
