Dublin Punk Untold examines the role Ireland’s capital city played in the punk era. Inspired by the Hope Collective’s Great Gig Memories book, producer and broadcaster Neil Farrelly has spent the past year and a half examining archives and interviewing the people who created Ireland’s punk scene.
In episode 2, An Explosion of Colour, we hear various accounts of the famous Clash gig in Trinity College, including Joe Strummer sneaking someone in through the stage door, power pop band Revolver, fan favourites the End, the first all ages punk gig in Dublin, some terrible treatment of women by a touring band and punk fashion.
