Reminiscence on the Radio: 1953

1953 was the year Guy Mitchell had everyone singing ‘She Wears Red Feathers and a Hula Hula Skirt’…  it was also the year that Facebook crooner Eddie Peppard went to England to find work, he had lived in a tenement in North King Street.  Dympna Murphy, a member of no less than three choirs, recited two poems written by her daughter Lorraine Murphy, a nurse in England.  From Here to Eternity was voted Best Film that year.
