Luke Peter Silke speaks with Tuam Survivors

Luke Peter Silke shares a poem before allowing two Tuam survivors – PJ Haverty and Walter Francis –  to share their stories. He later talks to historian Catherine Corless as NUI Galway hosts an event to mark “Archiving Personal Histories” of the Tuam Mother and Baby Home. The University hosted a public event with the members of the Tuam Home Survivors Network, featuring a range of speakers, including historian Catherine Corless, Dr Sarah-Anne Buckley of the Department of History, NUI Galway and Irish Examiner reporter Conall Ó Fátharta. The oral histories will be housed in the James Hardiman Library.
