We interviewed animal rights activist John Fitzgerald about Irishman Richard Martin (nicknamed ‘Humanity Dick’) who centuries ago was a pioneer for animal and human rights. He was also instrumental in setting up what became known as the RSPCA the first animal rights organisation in the world.
