This is the eighth show of Culture Shots, part of a series of 13 programmes examining the meaning of culture and promoting intercultural understanding.

Tonight’s programme focuses on traveller culture. Martin Warde speaks to Ellen McDonagh from the Meath Traveller’s workshop about the “Breaking the Pattern” project; this intercultural exchange united Traveller, Kurdish and Romany women in Sweden.

Martin Warde speaks to Hannah McGinley, Community Development Worker with the Galway Traveller Movement, about education inequalities impacting Travellers, migrants and other marginalized communities.
