On this week’s edition of Enviro, Britt & Joe speak to Dr. Anita Donaghy , Senior Conservation Officer, BirdWatch Ireland. She wants to raise awareness of the plight of the Curlew: breeding Curlew are fast disappearing from the Irish landscape.

“If we ignore the decline of this bird, the situation could become critical in Ireland.”

Also on the show is Jack O’Sullivan, Environmental and Planning Consultant from County Westmeath, Ireland.

They have a good discussion about environmental and socio-economic issues, especially climate change and renewable energy. Mary Robinson made some excellent suggestions about eating less meat but she was howled down by the intensive farming lobby in Ireland.
