On 8 March this year, we visited the Axis Arts and Community Resource Centre in Ballymun to celebrate international Women’s Day with the reading of two of the Dubliners stories that focus on women’s life, A Mother and The Boarding House. We spoke to Deirdre Quinn, Media and English Lecturer in NUI Maynooth, who will tell us about James Joyce writing and his representation of women.
