This one-off documentary is a tribute to the work and legacy of the much missed and revered animator and director, Jimmy Murakami. Often called the ‘Godfather of the Irish Animation Industry’, he is probably best known for his work animating the iconic ‘The Snowman’ and ‘When The Wind Blows’ animations.
Paula Wiseman chatted with the people who knew Jimmy best and we hear incredible stories from;
*Se Merry Doyle (Film maker & Director)
*Ethna Murakami
*Howard Blake OBE (Composer)
*Steve Woods (animator & director)
*Kevin Lynch (Head of Animation @ Colaiste Dhulaigh CFE)
…and of course we hear extracts from interviews with Jimmy himself..
Thank you to all of the contributors for their time.
