Life Unfiltered marked the upcoming International Women’s Day on 8th March with a look at women’s lives in Ireland over the last 50 years – where we’ve come from and where we still need to go.
Maria took a look at some of the moments that changed life for women in this country, from the removal of the marriage bar in 1973 to the Repeal of the Eighth Amendment in 2018. Some of it is recent history and some of it is hard to believe actually happened.
She was joined by Paula Pinzon Hernández, Senior Policy Officer on Women’s Health at the National Women’s Council of Ireland, who discussed women’s mental health and what still needs to change in the next decade.
