Born in the UK, Maria spent most of her youth in Bearna, Galway, before heading off to the UK where she obtained a degree in Business Journalism. Maria shares intimate stories of two difficult pregnancies, a challenging separation, and days of darkness, before she embraced life and all it offers, now leading her best life possible, while encouraging those around her to find that same happiness. 

She is the co-founder of the online writing group Writing.ie Writers Ink and has mentored scores of individuals who started out with just a pen and paper, and are now fully published authors. Maria is also a presenter on NearFM, and her programme ‘Love Unfiltered’ airs every Friday at 1pm.
