Darren J. Prior spoke to Lisa O’Connor from Companion Animal Advocates CAA about the demo and march taking place on World Animal Day 2023, the 4th October, from the Wolfe Tone monument beside St. Stephen’s Green to Leinster House. Lisa also spoke about the overall crisis in animal welfare charities in Ireland at the moment and Peadar Tóibín TD’s two bills before the Oireachtas to have a strong sentence for animal theft and to strengen the regulation of dog breeding establishments and ensure enforcement of relevant statutory provisions in relation to them.
