Oviya was born in the Southern part of India, and has lived and grown up in various other parts of India. She completed a degree in Architecture, but then went on to become an English teacher out of sheer love for the language and its nuances. She speaks English, Hindi and Tamil.
After having taught English for about 4 years in New Delhi, she decided to move to Ireland to pursue a master’s degree in ELT and further her journey in this field abroad. She now works at a language school as both a teacher and a manager. The best part of her job, acccording to her, is the fact that she gets to meet people form all walks of life and various cultures. She feels it has helped her grow both professionally and personally.
Outside of school, she enjoys yoga, watching and reading crime thrillers and cups of “chai” with her friends.
