In early September 2022 Min. James Browne announced that Ms. Anne Marie Caulfield is going to be Ireland’s first CEO of the Gambling Regulatory Authority and that she and the authority will begin formally working in 2023 after the Gambling Regulation Act 2022 / 2023 is enacted. Darren J. Prior spoke to Barry Grant from Extern Problem Gambling about this great news and to get an update off him in general about the passage of the Gambling Regulation Bill through the Oireachtas as well as talking about another couple of areas of his work including talking about Sen. Mark Wall’s (Labour) separate legislation on banning gambling advertising in general in the state.
