Prior spoke to Dr. Sheila Gilheany, the CEO of Alcohol Action Ireland, on the day 10th January 2025 a huge cultural change came in in Ireland with the huge restrictions in the hours that alcohol companies can advertise their drinks on television and radio. They also had a chat about the 2 outstanding parts of the Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2018 that are still left to be implemented. And they spoke about the possibility that alcohol companies may try to get around the latest change as they have done in a couple of other areas in relation to the act namely by advertising their branded zero alcohol products.
