Nearly 3,000 thoroughbred horses slaughtered for meat in Ireland since 2020 – National Animal Rights Association NARA @ Near FM (2022)

Darren J. Prior spoke to Laura Broxson a spokesperson of the National Animal Rights Association NARA about the figures released in May 2022 to a parliamentary question in the Dáil that disclosed that nearly 3,000 thoroughbred horses in the Republic of Ireland have been slaughtered for meat since 2020. Laura and Darren also discussed the horse racing and greyhound racing industries more generally in Ireland in the interview and Laura told Darren what herself and NARA and other animals rights organisations and activists think in general about the two industries.
