1959 was the year that Clifford Brown from Dundalk spent 6 weeks with Scarlet Fever in the Drogheda Fever Hospital, aged 5 and was force fed Tapioca, a food he has never eaten since! Anne Seagrave was nine years old that year and remembers being in the little school with her seven siblings at the end of her lane in Ballygawley, Co Tyrone. Her house was up on a hill beside the lane and was known locally as the ‘Turnaskeagh High School’. ‘One Night with You’ by Elvis Presley was the best-selling song in Ireland in 1955 – the singer was wrongly guessed in studio as Dickie Rock, Joe Dolan and Cliff Richard!
