The Arts Show: Maura Walsh chats to Peter Phillips, Tedfest organiser ahead of the festival which runs from 22nd February – 25th February

Tedfest which is now in it’s 12th year is the annual celebration of Father Ted that takes place each year on the Craggy Island of Inis Mor. The three day event takes place on the last weekend of February in order to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the passing of Dermot Morgan on 28 February 1998. Peter is chatting to me from his hometown in Wales. We talk all things Ted, the award-winning sitcom, the production, the remakes, how he came up with the idea for the festival and friends ofTedfest. He highlights some of the festival events and what is happening in The Craggy Crack Den and The Craggy Island Spar including the Priest’s & Nuns Fun Run, Tea-Riffic Tea Dance and Tea Tasting and Watty’s Music Stage which has continuous music each day with a lineup including The Dubliners, The Cardinal Sins and Trad for Trocaire.
