Lifeline: Interview with Amy Bramley

Today, Wednesday February the 28th, is International Rare Diseases Day and we will be highlighting this on Lifeline today. The Last day of February was chosen for this because February the 29th was a ‘rare day’ – and while 2018 is not a leap year, it falls on today instead, to make this an annual event. This is to raise awareness for rare diseases and improve access to treatment for individuals with rare diseases and their families. Michael Hennessy speaks to Amy Bramley who is the public relations and fundraising manager for Muscular Dystrophy Ireland, which is classified as a rare genetic condition about the condition.
