Fergal Somerville is a local resident whose accolades include swimming the English Channel in 2011 and the North Channel in 2013. He is a member of the Eastern Bay Swim Team and Irish Ambassador to the International Ice Swimming Association. In this interview he talks to Noel McGuinness about ice swimming and the International Ice Mile Swim that will take place at Lough Dan, Co. Wicklow on Saturday 3rd February 2018. As well as Irish swimmers, this years event will include swimmers from California, the Channel Islands, Scotland and England.
