Recruitment Process for the Public Water Forum

Dr. Tom Collins is the Chair of the new Public Water Forum.  He is also Chair of the governing body of D.I.T. and of IT Blanchardstown and as well as his roles in higher education, he has been actively involved in a number of environmental and water-related roles.  He talks to Noel McGuinness about the recruitment process for the new Public Water Forum.  He explains that the Forum will offer a place where different views can be aired and listened to with respect.  It will be made up of up to 32 members in total, plus a Chair and Secretary.  Twelve members will be drawn from organisations, each representing a specific area of interest and up to 20 members will be domestic water consumers.  Dr. Tom Collins has been appointed Chair of the Public Forum and the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) will act as Secretary.  CER is responsible for recruiting the members of the Forum.  For further information on the recruitment process visit the CER website www.cer.ie.
