Joseph Horgan was born and raised in England of Irish parents. Returned and living in Ireland since 1999. He is a previous winner of the Patrick Kavanagh Award and has been shortlisted for a Hennessy Award. He is the author of two collections of poetry and a prose work that was chosen as the RTE Book on One. He writes a weekly column for the Irish Post and has written widely on the experience of being second-generation Irish.
