Noel McGuinness talks to Irene Timmons head of Fundraising at the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Make-A-Wish, the charity which grants the wishes of children aged between 3 and 17 living with life-threatening illnesses such as Leukaemia, Cystic Fibrosis, and Congenital Heart Diseases has a waiting list of over 200 eligible children already this year.   The charity says it is struggling to grant all the wishes on its waiting list and is making an appeal for Dubliners to volunteer for its annual ‘Wish Band Day’ which takes place on Thursday 16th April next. Since its inception in Ireland in 1992, Make-A-Wish Ireland has granted wishes to over 1,700 brave children. To volunteer you can call Mark on 01 205 2012 or email mark@makeawish.ie
