Andrew St. Ledger is a member of the Environmental Pillar’s Tree Cover Working Group.  He talks to Noel McGuinness on Northside Today about the new forestry plan that has been approved by the EU and says that the plan fails to resolve serious environmental issues with the Irish Forestry model.  He explains that while there are some positive steps taken in the new forestry programme, the Environmental Pillar, which is made up of 28 Irish environmental NGOs, says that an opportunity to reform the outdated Irish forestry model has been missed.
