Feline Friendly February – DSPCA

Gillian Bird of the Dublin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) tells Noel McGuinness about some of the events in the DSPCA’S Feline Friendly February.  Included in this is the subsidised neutering of tom cats in an effort to curtail the number of kittens being born and also the DSPCA’s microchipping service.  Gillian says that microchipping offers pet owners a permanent method of identifying their pet and linking the animal back to them should it get lost or stolen.  She also tells Noel about Meet Your Perfect Cat! a “speed dating” event that aims to help potential cat owners find their ideal feline friend.  See www.dspca.ie
