Left of the Dial: Ricky Dineen (Nun Attax/Five Go Down to the Sea?/Beethoveen)

On Wednesday the 18th of June, a tribute night was held in Cork for legendary front man Finbarr Donnelly (1962 – 1989). Donnelly fronted seminal Cork bands Nun Attax, Five go Down to the Sea? and Beethoven between 1978 and his untimely death in 1989. Donnelly’s partner in crime in all those musical escapades was guitarist Ricky Dineen.

For the night, Ricky put together ..and NUN Came Back, featuring himself, Liam Heffernan, Humphrey Murphy, Tom Healy and Ian Walsh, and they played tracks from the back catalogue of all 3 bands.

Left of the Dial were there to witness what was a fantastic celebration of Donnelly, and the excellent music those three bands produced.
