Camp Diversion – Outside Broadcast 26/06/14 – Part 2

Paula Wiseman went out on location for the Northside Today programme to ‘Camp Diversion’, which is a Youth Justice Project. On the day, 15 teams of 7 people from all over Ireland were competing in sports and life skill activities.

First up, Paula chatted with Tommy Byrne, who is a Justice Worker and also coordinator of Safe Project, Wexford. They hosted the event last year and he talked to Paula about his job and how he got involved with Camp Diversion.

Next Paula chatted with 2 young lads, Dylan McMahon and Dewie Prizeman. The boys were participating in the day’s events and they talked about their own circumstances and how they got involved with Sphere 17. The boys had made their own t-shirts for the day’s events and they told us what they’d been up to so far.

Finally, Paula chatted with two students from the MIC Project, Jo Jo Douglas and Sean O’Regan about their time in the Project and also about the work they are doing with Camp Diversion which will go towards their final pieces of work in the MIC Project.
