The second part in our ‘To the End of the Earth’ –documentary series on the Irish Military Diaspora in South America focus on the short but amazing life of Monaghan man John MacKenna.

His life is an intriguing insight into a changing world both here in Ireland and in South America. The part played by him in the Chilean war of independence. And the incredible links that still hold fast between his descendants in Chile and their kin here in Ireland to this day.
