Emma Connors, Arts Development Coordinator at axis: Ballymun talks to Noel McGuinness about Crossing Borders with Hip Hop and Rap.  This was an international exchange between young people rappers, beat makers, singers and producers from Holland and Dublin.  The first exchange took place in July, when 10 locally selected young people travelled to Nijmegan in Holland for a week-long musical collaboration, during which time they developed a new album entitled “Dutch2Dublin”.  Following this, the Dutch participants visited Ballymun.  Over one week they developed new music videos and performed on the “Otherworld” main stage on Halloween night.
