Brendan Mac Cárthaigh has spent over 50 years has an active member of
Kolkata society. Born in Rathmines, Dublin he attended CBS Synge
Street. Impressed by the unselfish lifestyle and dedication to
education of the Christian Brothers he joined their congregation as a
young teenager. He qualified as a Teacher and after spending a few
short years teaching in Irish schools he requested and was accepted to
teach in India.

He continued his education in India and obtained a MA in English. He,
also , has a degree in Music, he has a Doctorate as a Councilor, an
Hypnotist, a man of many talents. He founded the organisation SERVE,
based on his own religious founder Ignatius Rice, to influence the
inadequaties of the teaching methods in India. A musician, a writer
with many published books on educational matters, but above all else
he is a Poet with two published antholigies. A man of many parts.
He is a recognised authority and expert on The
Enneagram and is invited to Lecture and give Workshops all over the
world on this subject.
