We discussed the upcoming National Day of Action Austerity March on the 9th of February, the Irish Congress of Trade Unions organised marches will take place at six locations across the country, Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Sligo and Waterford.

We’ll also discussed cuts to education, the student grant cut – the income threshold has been cut by 3%, which will see hundreds of students lose their grant completely. A total of €25 million in cuts to funding for third level institutions, and the disaster that has been the Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI).
