The Minister for Education & Skills, Ruari Quinn, T.D., talks to Ronnie O’Brien about a survey that is taking place in five locations, including Whitehall. He says that in this new initiative, parents in Whitehall (including Kilmore West and Beaumont) are being asked what patrons they would like to see running their local primary schools. Parents of pre-school and primary school children in Whitehall (including Kilmore West and Beaumont) are asked to complete surveys by 9th November stating their preferences for the type of school they would like their children to attend – denominational, multidenominational, all-Irish or another kind.
