Noeleen Hartigan of Amnesty International Ireland talks to Noel McGuinness on Northside2Day about the life and work of Aung San Suu Kyi. Noeleen outlines the situation in Burma at present where human rights violations still occur and there are many prisoners of conscience. She reminds us not to be complacent about what’s happening there. She also talks about the Electric Burma Concert on Monday 18th June and the public event afterwards in Grand Canal Square where Aung San Suu Kyi will receive the freedom of the City of Dublin and will also address the crowd.
