On December 17th 2025 a bill to to ban fox hunting in the Republic of Ireland will be debated in Dáil Éireann. Darren J. Prior spoke to Aideen Yourell from the Irish Council Against Blood Sports about their position on the bill. The council believe that the three main party leaders – MIcheál Martin, Simon Harris and Mary Lou McDonald – should at a minimum allow a free vote of their TDs on the bill.
