Paula Wiseman chats with Sorcha Donohoe, the Communications Officer at Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council about the amazing new festival, Coastival.

Coastival 2023 will run 1-9 July and will celebrate everything to love about Dún Laoghaire. This new week-long festival will coincide with the Volvo Dún Laoghaire Regatta and includes exciting family fun each day both on land and water. There is a full programme of live music and comedy for Coastival Nights.

Events include:

• Maritime movies on the green,
• Live music including KILA, Jerry Fish, Mack Fleetwood and much more,
• Comedy club with Dave McSavage and Dublin Improv,
• Boat cruises and boat trips,
• Family fun day at the dlr LexIcon Library,
• Free sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding,
• Summer of heritage events and much more!
