The ASTI held their Annual Conference last week and following all the press coverage regarding the shortage of teachers in Ireland and ASTI’s call on Government for action in what has been termed as a teacher supply crisis, it is understandable that this topic was high on the agenda, but there were also quite a lot of other motions discussed and voted upon.
ASTI Deputy General Secretary, Diarmuid de Paor joins Adrianne Murphy to talk about the Conference and the motions which were discussed over the three day event and also to discuss the solutions they put forward to rectify this teacher supply crisis.
