Darren J. Prior spoke to Sheila Gilheany CEO of Alcohol Action Ireland about their webinar coming up on 1st December 2022. They further discussed the need to implement the rest of the Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2018 and the need as Alcohol Action Ireland call it for an “Office for Alcohol Harm Reduction” to be established that would oversee a role for alcohol policy in Ireland similar to how the Road Safety Authority does with road safety. Darren also asked Sheila her opinion on this year’s World Cup 2022 taking place in Qatar in relation to problematic drinking.
