Near FM presents a unique performance from Navá, recorded in Dublin’s Hugh Lane Gallery in the summer of 2021. The performance is interspersed with interviews with the band, offering insights into how they got together, cultural influences and where this journey might take them. Navá is a group of young musicians exploring the relationship between the ancient musical cultures of Ireland and Persia. It is comprised of folk/bluegrass musicians Paddy Kiernan and Niall Hughes, and Iranian born brothers Shahab and Shayan Coohe. In this concert, guitarist Tony Byrne subs for Niall.
