Darren J. Prior spoke to Karol Balfe, the CEO of ActionAid Ireland, about an international report ActionAid brought out in October 2021 looking at the austerity happening in developing countries in 2021 because of IMF policies. Over 150 countries in 2021 are in austerity and according to Karol there is a big need to reset the global debt levels as the debt as owed today including by the U.S and China is not sustainable.
