Maura Walsh chats to actor Wayne Byrne, who plays the part of Da (aka phil) in the upcoming theatre production of ‘What Would Ma Say’ on October 20th at Tramways Theatre, Blessington and November 3rd at Liberty Hall Theatre Dublin 1
The play is based on Kathleen Doyle’s best selling book, ‘What Would Ma Say’ which tells the true story of what life was like growing up in Dublin in the 1950s & 60s. Adapted to stage by Director, Gerard Ronan of Quil Productions. It’s both hilarious and emotional and tells the story of an era long gone but not forgotten. What Would Ma Say’ is nostalgic and poignant with some timely issues that are still relevant to society today.
