Recently Fergal Somerville spoke to Noel McGuinness on Northside2Day about his successful swim of the English Channel.  What motivated this swim was the desire to raise funds for research into Cystic Fibrosis that is being carried out in Beaumont Hospital.  In a follow-up to this interview, Professor Gerry McElvanney speaks about this research and the advances that have been made.
