Shiva Productions presents their latest show ‘Meet me in the Gardens’ – a unique theatrical experience in the garden, from the makers of ‘Angels in the Park’. Written by Sharon McCoy and Directed & Produced by Aoibhinn Marie Gilroy.
Maura chats to them about their collaboration and the genesis for ‘Meet Me In The Gardens’. Actors Karen Kelly, Rory Duignan, & Joe Purcell, all celebrated artists, perform sample excerpts from the one hour show.
Meet me in the Gardens is a series of four short plays which will be performed in various locations as you enjoy an exciting walk among Ireland’s richest plant collection within the picturesque grounds of the National Botanic Gardens.
This summer, plunge into the gripping 200-year history of Ireland’s National Botanic Gardens. Shiva Productions, in association with the OPW and Dublin City Council, who are bringing to life a new site-specific theatrical experience, and digging up the ghosts of the gardens’ riveting past. Based on true events and real-life characters, spanning the cholera epidemic to the onset of World War II, audiences will be taken on a thrilling ride through time before being jolted back to our technology drenched present.

Duration: 4 X 10 minutes plays = approx running time 60 minutes.
