Aidan is second generation Chinese pianist born and raised in Kildare.
At nineteen he has already achieved international recognition and recieved numerous awards. Yu Yue is Director of the Irish/Chinese Youth Concerts Organisation and she chatted to me about the new year celebrations and chinese culture.
Aidan selected two pieces of his works for the show one chinese theme and the other european. He has been described in masterclasses and competitions as “talented, brave, fearless and uncompromising”
This lunar New Year begins on February 16th is the Year of the Earth Dog and the celebrations run until March 4th. The Dublin Chinese New Year Festival showcases ethnic and cultural diversity with a wide variety of events happening across the city.
