Ruairí McKiernan is a campaigner, social entrepreneur and public speaker, and a presidential appointee to the Council of State. He founded youth advocacy group SpunOut.ie in 2004 and also helped establish civic action community Uplift and Gaelic Voices For Change, a group of past and present inter-county GAA players focused on social issues. He also hosts the Love and Courage podcast and was selected by Ashoka Ireland as one of 10 people in Ireland championing social change – the full list was featured in the Sunday Times.
