Ballymun Otherworld Festival

Noel McGuinness is joined by Aifric Ní Ruairc and Lea Pepper who have come on Northside Today to tell people about the Ballymun Otherworld Festival 2017 starting from October 23rd and culminating on Ballymun Plaza on Halloween night October 31st.

The family orientated festival will see community performers, artists, food sellers and entertainers descend on Ballymun Plaza on Halloween night for the annual Otherworld Festival. The evening kicks off at 5.15pm with the ZOMBIE community parade from Poppintree, followed by hours of creepy on-site entertainment, rounding off the night with a spectacular fireworks display.

Aifric Ní Ruairc is one of the coordinators for the Zombie parade happening as part of the festival and also she will be doing story telling with some of the local schools through the Muck of magic community gardens.

Lea Pepper is an intern with Axis Arts Centre and is designing the youth music tent and also designing an art exhibition of a local artists paintings. She is also the assistant stage manager for Glimmer a show that will be running in the Axis from Oct 29th – Nov 2nd.
