Attracta Uí Bhroin, Environmental Law Implementation Group, Irish Environmental Network, talks to Noel McGuinness about CETA, the EU Canada trade deal. She says that over 80 Irish civil society groups are calling on MEPs to reject the EU Canada trade deal. These groups include unions, farmers, business owners and environmentalists. They claim that CETA will compromise laws which protect health, food standards, the environment, worker’s rights and the rule of law in the EU as we know it. The final vote on CETA will be taken by the whole Parliament on February 14th.
