Women in 1916 Part 1

Women in 1916 – FREE Talks and in Coolock Library on Wednesdays from 6.30pm

24th February, 2nd and 9th March 2016

Near FM, in partnership with the Coolock Library and in association with the Northside Community Law Centre, are delighted to present a three part series about women and social justice in 1916.

The series will reflect on women in the era of the 1916 Rising, how they lived and worked and what roles women played in society with topics to include living conditions in the tenements, the suffragettes and more. Each event will feature a speaker and songs from the era performed by An Góilín Singers Group.

Each evening will be hosted by an experienced presenter in a conversational style and there will be audience Q&A at the end of each talk.
