Debbie Deegan of To Children with Love talks to Noel McGuinness about their support for the Challenger Programme. She explains that this programme catches talented and promising children in disadvantaged areas and builds their confidence and self esteem. In addition, it strengthens their education and empowers them to move forward as equal members of society. The project is designed to meet the needs of these marginalised and socially excluded children at the most crucial point in their lives, providing structured supports for students from 6th Class to 6th Year, to help them access Third Level education and to break the cycle of poverty and social exclusion.

Debbie says that To Children with Love has identified one particular school in North Dublin which is badly in need of their help and support. She asks for help from generous individuals or companies to help finance this programme. As well as financing, volunteers are needed as mentors, motivational speakers, support on excursions, and so on.
