On this edition of Arts & Disability Radio presenter Pádraig Naughton talks to Betty Siegel Director of VSA & Accessibility at the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. An interview recorded in August when Pádraig attended the annual LEAD Conference in Washington DC. Betty tells Pádraig about her work at the Kennedy Center, LEAD 2015 and her new found fascination for telepresence robots. Clare McLaughlin a student with DIT joins Pádraig in studio to discuss tours she’s organised for blind and visually impaired visitors to galleries across Ireland. They also talk about being a student of DIT on Sherkin Island. The music is as ever eclectic, this programme features songs about refugees, migrants, emigrants and displacement by Laleh, Philip Chevron, Terence Blanchard and Paddy Reilly, ending with a tune by Mark Knopfler.
